BIOGRAPHY

Early

Alfredo Luis Santos, short Al Santos, is born in July 13, 1976 in Holbrook, New York, USA and an American model and actor. Santos moved from his Long Island home to big city life in Manhattan at age 16 to attended at the CUNY Hunter College in Manhattan, New York, where he studied for five years to originally pursue a career in physics, science and medicine, pre-med in particular. He has also studied with many acting coaches like Penny Tempalton and Janet Alhanti. Santos has American, Irish and Portuguese heritage and descent.

Modeling
Al Santos started to model along with his athletic build and features that were at once striking and boy-next-door, that he landed a contract with the Ford Modeling Agency, today known as simply Ford Models. He has done over 50 commercials as well gracing the covers of several magazines such as "Seventeen", "YM", "Teen Vogue", "American Fitness" and many more. Santos was named the "Cosmopolitan Man of the Year" in 2001 and has modeled clothing for top fashion names and designers such as Versace, Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Calvin Klein, Lee, American Eagle, Wrangler, Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch and Levi's in major cities like in Paris, in New York and in London.

Acting
Tired of the model life, Santos enrolled in Hunter College's pre-med program and began to seriously study acting. His determination led to a starring role as Johnny Bishop on Darren Starr's critically acclaimed "Grosse Pointe" by the Warner Brothers, which ran from 2000 to 2001, an edgy sitcom set behind-the-scenes of a teen primetime soap not unlike "Beverly Hills, 90210". Santos excelled as the vacuous but harmless surfer boy-turned-"talent-free-actor" Bishop, displaying the looks and an innocent spirit perfect for the role of the oblivious teen dream whose face and physique not only starts the hearts of his many fans, but has earned him the unrequited attention of his awkward co-star Marcy Sternfield, portrayed by Lindsay Sloane, and gawking gay TV Dad, portrayed by Michael Hitchcock. Santos guest starred in hit shows "That's Life" and "Nash Bridges" in 2001. He immediately followed that up with a lead role as Dante Belasco in Francis Ford Coppola's "Jeepers Creepers 2" The film has grossed over $220 million dollars world wide, not bad for his film debut. He then was booked alongside Megan Fox and David Faustino in a leading role in Ron Leavitt's short lived "The Help" which lasted nine episodes in one season on the WB. Soon after that he got the lead role in "Lost Signal", an exciting "New Age Shining" based off true events. Santos has long been known as a comedy genius, but his film "Lost Signal" shows a much deeper thespian in this young star. Santos appeared in the critically acclaimed film "American Gangster" alongside Denzel Washington. He starred in the movies "Mustang Sally", "Killer Movie" next to Kaley Cuoco, "2 Dudes and a Dream", "Geezas" and "Speed Demons" and in reccuring role in the fourth season of "CSI: NY" as Ollie Barnes. Currently he's working on the notorious Pablo Escobar project about the Colombian drug lord, who became so wealthy from the drug trade that in 1989 Forbes magazine listed him as the sixth richest man in the world.

Producing
Al Santos parleyed his Hollywood acting career into an executive producing and writing career. Therefor he has his own company go by the name StrongHold Production Inc. as well as producing a few of his own works since 2008. Santos is locking himself into Hollywood as a StrongHold, which surprisingly enough is the name of his production company, StrongHold Production Inc. Santos' mom Nancilee Brady is his everything. He has two brothers, Chris Santos and Patrick Santos, as well as two sisters, Kelly Santos and Nancilee Santos Druschke. His brothers are models and actors as well. Patrick also had a minor part in "Home Alone 2".
